Drumming Workshops
LAB youth leaders co-facilitate the drumming workshop. Participants of all ages experience the therapeutic benefits of hand drumming while learning a new language and team-building skills.
The importance of self-care and caring for others and the earth are also addressed in this fun and interactive workshop.

Happy Canvas
Project
LAB youth leaders co-facilitate the Happy Canvas Project. Participants of all ages are helping create a large canvas tapestry based on the question:
- What does your heart beat 4?
- OR What mends your heart and nurtures racial healing? (Used in the National Day of Racial Healing).
Each participant designs a square for the tapestry. We will display it in a variety of places in Las Cruces once it is completed.
Narrative Shift Campaign
Led by Generation Justice in Albuquerque, the Narrative Shift Campaign highlights youth resilience and leadership in New Mexico. It also raises awareness about the importance of investing in young people throughout the state. Stay tuned for more information about this campaign.

Over the summer of 2022, LAB youth participated in a statewide effort to raise awareness of the power of your voice and change the narrative while also addressing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
